Connection & Dial Troubleshooting
I get an error when I try to connect, what could be wrong?
Please go through the following steps :
Try manually dialling from the same line you are trying to use for your laptop or PDA device.
If you get no answer at the number or the number does not work, please try another number in the dialler.
If a computer tone is heard (like a fax tone), then the number is working.
You may have to switch off 'Wait for dial tone before dialling'

Other reasons can include:
- You may need a switch to connect the modem to the handset interface, and allow the to perform the analog-to-digital conversion.
- Incorrect cable / adapter
- Modem problems (please contact your PC vendor).
- Your computer may be dialling too quickly for the hotel's switchboard to recognise the request for an external line
- insert a comma after the number, which you are dialling to access an outside line.
